Nathan Calhoun

Nathan moved to South Carolina to pursue his music career and shortly thereafter, was diagnosed with Stage III Melanoma. Melanoma is the rarest form of skin cancer, but is also the deadliest. He was diagnosed last April, from a bump he found on his neck. Doctors removed the bump, along with 3 lymph nodes, and thought they were able to remove the cancer. After a recent check up, oncologists have now realized that it is terminal malignant metastatic melanoma and has attached to his left lung. Nathan found out last week that there are 8 tumors on his left lung and also now also has lymphoma.

This all so sad and has happened SO fast, but Nathan might just be one of the strongest and most positive people I know.

There is one more problem to add to all the devastation…Nathan does not have health insurance, due to being a musician. Over the past year, a series of tests, procedures and surgeries were performed, resulting in staggering medical costs that are still being tallied and are well over $100,000 at this time. In order to continue receiving quality medical care, it is imperative his current medical bills be managed appropriately.

Although everyone remains very optimistic, this is terminal and treatment will need to be done, to keep him comfortable during the progression on this cancer.
